For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour or overnight for best results.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour mixture, ensuring full coverage.
  5. Fry the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Mix mayonnaise and hot sauce to prepare the spicy mayo.
  7. Toast the burger buns lightly.
  8. Assemble the burger by spreading spicy mayo on the bun, adding lettuce, tomato, and the crispy chicken.
