Ingredients
Scale
- 8 slices sourdough bread
- 4 tablespoons butter, softened
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
- 1 pound thinly sliced roasted turkey breast
- 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together cranberry sauce, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard until well combined.
- Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place 4 slices of bread, buttered side down, on a work surface. Spread the cranberry mixture evenly over each slice.
- Layer 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of the cranberry mixture on each slice.
- Divide the turkey evenly among the sandwiches, placing it on top of the cheese.
- Top each sandwich with another slice of Swiss cheese, then place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side up.
- Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat. Carefully place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
If you don’t have leftover turkey, you can use deli turkey slices. You can also substitute the Swiss cheese with your favorite melting cheese like provolone or mozzarella. For a spicier version, add a few dashes of hot sauce to the cranberry mixture.
