Description

These Cranberry Bacon and Gorgonzola Puff Pastry Tarts are a delightful balance of sweet, salty, and tangy flavors, perfect as appetizers for any festive gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 squares (or use a round cutter). Place on prepared baking sheet.
  3. Brush the pastry edges with beaten egg.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the cranberries, bacon, gorgonzola, and heavy cream.
  5. Spoon the mixture onto the center of each pastry square, leaving a border.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until pastry is golden and puffed.
  7. Serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of fresh thyme before baking.
