Description
Buttery flour tortillas rolled up with a sweet cream cheese filling, pan-fried until golden, and coated in cinnamon sugar. A quick and easy dessert or brunch treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 6 (8-inch) flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- For the cinnamon sugar coating:
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- 1. In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
- 2. Spread about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture onto each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 3. Roll up each tortilla tightly, tucking in the sides slightly as you roll to seal in the filling.
- 4. In a shallow dish, mix together the 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
- 5. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Brush the rolled tortillas with melted butter on all sides.
- 6. Place the roll-ups seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and the cream cheese is warmed through.
- 7. While still warm, roll each cooked roll-up in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
- 8. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
For extra richness, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cream cheese filling. These roll-ups can also be baked at 375°F for 10-12 minutes instead of pan-frying.
