- 1 large baguette
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the baguette in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the bread to create a pocket.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced peppers and garlic, sauté until tender, about 5 minutes.
- Mix the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheese with oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the baguette with the pepper mixture and top with the cheese blend.
- Place the stuffed baguette on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or substitute with provolone cheese.
