Description

A decadent appetizer featuring creamy brie wrapped in flaky puff pastry, filled with tangy lemon curd and fresh herbs, baked until golden and bubbly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry (half of a 17.3-ounce package), thawed
  • 1 (8-ounce) wheel of Brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup lemon curd (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh mixed herbs (such as parsley, chives, and thyme), finely chopped
  • 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry sheet to a 10-inch square.
  3. Place the Brie wheel in the center of the pastry. Spread lemon curd evenly over the top of the Brie, then sprinkle with fresh herbs.
  4. Fold the four corners of the pastry over the Brie, meeting in the center. Pinch the edges together to seal, forming a neat package. Brush the entire pastry with beaten egg.
  5. Place the pastry on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and golden brown.
  6. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a teaspoon of honey to the lemon curd. Ensure the Brie is cold when wrapping for easier handling.
