For the Crust:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Heat-treat the flour by microwaving it in a bowl for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds, until it reaches 160°F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and milk, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gradually stir in the heat-treated flour and salt until fully incorporated.
  5. Fold in the mini chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Roll the dough into small, bite-sized balls and place them on a parchment-lined tray.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to firm up.
