Description

These air fryer chicken thighs are crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a sweet and spicy glaze. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • For the glaze:
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp sriracha (or hot sauce of choice)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1. Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels. In a bowl, toss with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  3. 3. Place chicken thighs in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. 4. While chicken cooks, make the glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
  5. 5. When chicken is done, brush generously with the glaze on both sides. Return to air fryer and cook for another 2-3 minutes at 380°F until glaze is sticky and caramelized.
  6. 6. Garnish with green onions if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra heat, add red pepper flakes to the glaze. You can also use chicken breasts, but adjust cooking time to 10-12 minutes depending on thickness.
