  • 1/3 cupunsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoonvanilla extract

  • 2large eggs
  • 3/4 cupall-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat yourovento 350°F (175°C) and line an 8-inch square baking pan withparchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl,whisktogether melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla, red food coloring, and vinegar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, fully incorporating after each addition.
  4. Gently fold in flour and salt until just combined; stir in chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with aspatula.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  7. Let cool completely in the pan on awire rackbefore cutting into squares.

Notes

For the deepest red color, opt for gel food coloring. If you prefer a subtler hue, adjust the quantity of food coloring to suit your taste.
