A classic holiday side dish featuring fresh green beans, creamy mushroom sauce, and crispy fried onions.

- 2 pounds fresh green beans, trimmed and halved
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 dash black pepper
- 1 1/3 cups fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes; drain.
- In a large bowl, mix soup, milk, soy sauce, and pepper. Stir in beans and 1/2 cup fried onions.
- Transfer mixture to a 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then top with remaining fried onions and bake for 5 more minutes.
Notes
For a crunchier topping, add extra fried onions. This dish can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight.
