For the Crust:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar. Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt in separate bowl. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk to butter mixture.
  4. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden. Cool completely.
  5. Beat cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth. Fold in diced apples and cinnamon.
  6. Assemble cake by spreading cheesecake mixture between layers. Drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
