- 2 apples, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup fresh sage leaves

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper.
- In a large oven-safe pot, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear the pork on all sides until browned.
- Add onions, garlic, and apples around the pork.
- Pour in chicken broth and add sage leaves.
- Cover and roast in the oven for 3 hours, or until tender.
- Remove pork and let rest, then make gravy from the pan juices.
