- 8 slices soft white bread (crusts removed)
- 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- For cooking & serving:
- 2 tbsp butter (for frying)
- Maple syrup (for serving)
- Additional powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- 1. Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- 2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- 3. Spread about 1 tbsp of filling along one edge of each flattened bread slice.
- 4. Roll up tightly from the filled end, pressing gently to seal.
- 5. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla.
- 6. Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 7. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture, coating completely but not soaking.
- 8. Cook roll-ups in butter for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- 9. Serve warm dusted with powdered sugar and maple syrup for dipping.
Notes
For easier rolling, slightly stale bread works best. Can be made ahead and reheated in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes. Try different fillings like Nutella, fruit preserves, or peanut butter for variety.
