Description

A hearty and spicy cheese dip made with ground beef, cheese, and bold flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 packet (1 oz) taco seasoning
  • 1 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  3. Drain excess fat, then add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Stir in diced tomatoes with green chilies and taco seasoning; mix well.
  5. Add cubed Velveeta cheese and shredded cheddar cheese; stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Pour in milk to reach desired consistency; season with salt and pepper.
  7. Simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Serve hot with tortilla chips.

Notes

For extra heat, add jalapeños or hot sauce to taste. Pairs well with nachos or as a dip for vegetables.
