- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 onion, quartered
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Fresh herbs like rosemary and thyme (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the turkey breast and pat it dry with paper towels.
- Rub the turkey with vegetable oil and season generously with salt and pepper.
- Place the onion, carrot, celery, and garlic in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Add the turkey breast on top of the vegetables.
- Pour the chicken broth around the turkey.
- Add fresh herbs if using.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Remove the turkey from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
