- 4boneless, skinless chicken breasts

- 1 cupdiced celery
- 1large onion, chopped
- 4 cupschicken broth
- 2cans cream of chicken soup
- Salt, pepper, and thyme to taste
- 1bay leaf
- 2 cupsall-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoonbaking powder
- 1 teaspoonsalt
- 1 cupmilk
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in theslow cooker.
- Top with carrots, celery, onion, salt, pepper, thyme, and a bay leaf.
- Add chicken broth and spoonfuls of cream of chicken soup; do not stir.
- Cover and cook on high for 5 hours.
- Remove chicken, shred, and return to the pot.
- Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix in milk to form a dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough into theslow cooker.
- Cook on high for an additional hour until dumplings are cooked through.
