- 2 large onions, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil

- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, toss green beans with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread green beans on a baking sheet.
- In a skillet, heat the remaining olive oil over medium heat and add onions.
- Cook onions, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Add balsamic vinegar to the onions and stir.
- Roast green beans in the oven for 15-20 minutes until tender.
- Combine roasted green beans with caramelized onions and serve.
Notes
For extra flavor, add garlic or herbs. Ensure onions are cooked slowly for best caramelization.
