A flavorful Indian curry made with tender chicken in a creamy tomato-based sauce, perfect for a weeknight meal.

- 500g boneless chicken thighs, cut into pieces
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken pieces with ginger, garlic, salt, and half of the garam masala for 15 minutes.
- In a pan, melt butter over medium heat and sauté onions until golden.
- Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned on all sides.
- Stir in tomato puree, cumin, coriander, and turmeric; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and remaining garam masala; cook for another 5-10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
Notes
For a spicier version, add chopped green chilies or chili powder to taste. Best served with naan or rice.
