- 1 cupsoftened butter
- 8 ozsoftened cream cheese
- 3 cupssugar
- 6large eggs
- 1 tbspvanilla extract
- 3½ cupsall-purpose flour
- 1 tspbaking powder
- ½ tspsalt
Instructions
- Preheatovento 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or two loaf pans.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter and cream cheese together until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl,whisktogether flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Add heavy cream and mix until smooth. Do not overmix.
- Pour batter into prepared pan(s). Smooth the top with aspatula.
- Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then turn out onto awire rackto cool completely.
