Ingredients

  • 1 cupsoftened butter
  • 8 ozsoftened cream cheese
  • 3 cupssugar
  • 6large eggs
  • 1 tbspvanilla extract
  • cupsall-purpose flour
  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • ½ tspsalt

Instructions

  1. Preheatovento 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan or two loaf pans.
  2. In a large bowl, beat softened butter and cream cheese together until light and fluffy.
  3. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl,whisktogether flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Add heavy cream and mix until smooth. Do not overmix.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan(s). Smooth the top with aspatula.
  8. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then turn out onto awire rackto cool completely.
