Description

A hearty dish combining tender pepper steak with creamy macaroni cheese for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound beef steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • For Macaroni Cheese:
  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sliced steak and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add bell peppers, onion, and garlic; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce and cornstarch; pour over the steak mixture and cook until thickened.
  5. In a separate pot, boil macaroni according to package instructions; drain.
  6. In the same pot, melt butter, add milk and cheese; stir until creamy.
  7. Mix cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce.
  8. Serve the pepper steak over the macaroni cheese.

Notes

Pair with a side salad for a balanced meal. Adjust seasoning to taste.
