- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup shelled pistachios, chopped
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg for egg wash
- Optional: Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a food processor, combine flour, butter, sugar, and salt until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Press the dough into a tart pan and chill for 15 minutes.
- Arrange sliced pears over the dough and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
- Drizzle honey and vanilla extract over the top.
- Brush edges with egg wash for a golden finish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
Notes
For a nut-free version, substitute pistachios with seeds. Best served warm.
