Description

These elegant puff pastry roses are filled with thinly sliced pears and creamy Brie cheese, baked to golden perfection and drizzled with a honeyed thyme glaze. Perfect for appetizers or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 ripe pears, thinly sliced
  • 4 oz Brie cheese, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 6 equal strips lengthwise.
  3. Layer pear slices and Brie pieces along the edge of each pastry strip, overlapping slightly.
  4. Roll each strip tightly into a rose shape, starting from the end with fillings.
  5. Place roses on the prepared baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. While baking, mix honey with thyme leaves and butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
  8. Drizzle the warm glaze over the baked roses and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve warm for best flavor. Can be prepared ahead and refrigerated before baking.
