Description

Ingredients

  • ¼ cuppassion fruit juice (from about4–6passion fruits)
  • 16 ozheavy cream
  • ¾ cupgranulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoonslime juice

Instructions

  1. Extract juice from the passion fruits by halving them and pressing the seeds and pulp through a sieve. Discard the seeds.
  2. In asaucepan, combine heavy cream and sugar and simmer over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Allow to simmer for 3 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Stir in the passion fruit juice and lime juice until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into chilled serving dishes and let cool at room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  6. Garnish with coconut yogurt, whipped cream, or sweetened passion fruit before serving.

Notes

Ensure to watch the cream closely as it heats to prevent boiling over.For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with full-fat coconut milk.
