Description
A creamy, dreamy frozen dessert inspired by Disney’s Dole Whip but with an Oreo twist! This easy-to-make treat combines the tropical flavor of pineapple with the rich, chocolatey crunch of Oreo cookies for a refreshing dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Crust:
- For the Dole Whip base:
- 2 cups frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/2 cup coconut milk (canned, full-fat)
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the Oreo mix-in:
- 6 Oreo cookies, crushed (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for a firmer crust)
- For serving (optional):
- Whipped cream
- Additional crushed Oreos
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- 1. Prepare the Oreo crust (optional): If using, mix melted butter with crushed Oreos and press into the bottom of serving glasses. Freeze for 10 minutes.
- 2. Blend the Dole Whip: In a high-powered blender, combine frozen pineapple, coconut milk, honey, and vanilla. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down sides as needed.
- 3. Layer the dessert: Spoon half the Dole Whip mixture into glasses, then sprinkle with crushed Oreos. Repeat layers.
- 4. Freeze briefly: Place in freezer for 15-20 minutes for firmer texture (optional).
- 5. Garnish & serve: Top with whipped cream and additional Oreo crumbs. Enjoy immediately with a spoon!
Notes
For a dairy-free version, use vegan Oreos and omit whipped cream. If mixture is too thick, add 1-2 tbsp pineapple juice. Best consumed immediately but can be frozen (texture will harden).
