For the Crust:

  • For the milkshake:
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup milk (whole or 2%)
  • 1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed or store-bought)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • For the whipped cream topping:
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • For garnish:
  • Orange zest (optional)
  • Maraschino cherry (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. 1. In a blender, combine the vanilla ice cream, milk, orange juice, and vanilla extract.
  2. 2. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, about 30-45 seconds. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash more milk and blend again.
  3. 3. For the whipped cream, in a chilled bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  4. 4. Pour the milkshake into a tall glass, leaving a little room at the top.
  5. 5. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
  6. 6. Garnish with a sprinkle of orange zest and a maraschino cherry if desired.
  7. 7. Serve immediately with a straw and enjoy!

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use coconut milk ice cream and almond milk. Adjust sweetness by adding more or less orange juice. For an extra creamy texture, freeze the glass for 10 minutes before serving.
