- 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix diced apples, milk, and egg.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or skillet to 375°F (190°C).
- Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove fritters and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with glaze before serving.
Notes
For a healthier option, bake at 400°F for 10-15 minutes instead of frying.
