Ingredients

  • 1 (6-7 pound) bone-in turkey breast, thawed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Optional: Fresh herbs like rosemary and thyme

Instructions

  1. Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the turkey breast generously with salt and pepper, including under the skin if possible.
  3. Place the sliced onion and minced garlic at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Add the chicken broth to the slow cooker.
  5. Position the turkey breast on top of the onions and garlic.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Once done, remove the turkey from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
