  • Author: Chef Jamie

Description

Sweet and crispy honey glazed carrot fries make a perfect healthy side dish or snack. These oven-baked fries are coated in a delicious honey glaze and roasted to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • For the carrot fries:
  • 6 large carrots, peeled and cut into fries
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the honey glaze:
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • For garnish:
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the carrot fries with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  3. Spread the carrots in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the carrots are tender and slightly crispy.
  5. While the carrots are baking, whisk together the honey, melted butter, garlic powder, and paprika in a small bowl.
  6. Remove the carrots from the oven and drizzle the honey glaze over them. Toss gently to coat.
  7. Return the carrots to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes to caramelize the glaze.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra crispiness, broil the carrots for the last 2-3 minutes of baking. Adjust the honey glaze to taste by adding more or less honey as desired.
