Description

A classic comfort food made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, and seasonings, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. Bake for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  5. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add Worcestershire sauce or garlic powder to the mixture. Serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
