Description

A warm and flavorful Japanese soup featuring gyoza dumplings, made with a savory broth and fresh ingredients.


Ingredients

  • 1 package frozen gyoza dumplings (about 12 pieces)
  • 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 carrot, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup spinach leaves
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat sesame oil over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sliced ginger; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the broth and bring to a boil.
  4. Add soy sauce, carrots, and green onions; simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Gently add the gyoza dumplings and cook for 3-4 minutes until they float.
  6. Stir in spinach leaves and cook for another 1-2 minutes until wilted.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve hot in bowls.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, use vegetable broth and ensure the gyoza are meat-free. Adjust seasoning as needed.
