- 1 1/2 cupspanko breadcrumbs
- 1 tspdivided kosher salt
- 1lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbspall-purpose flour
- 1large egg, beaten
- 2 tspgarlic powder
- 2 tsponion powder
- 1 tspdried oregano
- A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, for a kick)
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Olive oil spray (for cooking)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, half the salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, cayenne, and black pepper. Coat the chicken pieces evenly with this seasoning mix.
- Dip the seasoned chicken pieces into the beaten egg, then dredge in panko breadcrumbs mixed with olive oil and the remaining salt.
- Arrange the chicken in a single layer in theair fryerbasket. Spray lightly with olive oil spray.
- Cook in theair fryerat 400°F for about 8 minutes, flip, and continue cooking for another 4-6 minutes until golden and crispy.
Notes
For anovenmethod, bake at 400°F on a linedbaking sheetfor 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.Serve with a side of your favorite dipping sauces for added flavor!
