- Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl and whisk thoroughly. Set aside ½ of the marinade for basting and refrigerate.
- Pat the chicken dry, then place it in a large ziplock bag or deep bowl. Pour half of the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it’s well-coated. Let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes or up to 24 hours for a deeper flavor.
- Heat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush and clean the grill grates before placing the chicken to prevent sticking.
- Place the chicken on the grill, discarding the marinade in the bag. Grill for 8-10 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until the internal temperature reaches 165ºF. Baste with the reserved marinade during the last few minutes.
