Description

These bars feature layers of gooey caramel, rich chocolate, and a crunchy base, perfect for a sweet indulgence.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 cups rice krispies cereal
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and sugar over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in the caramel sauce and vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. Remove from heat and fold in the chocolate chips and rice krispies cereal.
  5. Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  7. Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

For extra crunch, add chopped nuts. Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
