Ingredients

Scale
  • 4boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoonolive oil
  • 3cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cupheavy cream
  • 1/2 cupchicken broth
  • 1/3 cupsun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cupgrated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoonred pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoonItalian seasoning
  • 1/4 cupfresh basil, chopped
  • Additional basil or parsley, for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. Create the Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Deglaze with chicken broth, scraping up the tasty bits from the bottom. Stir in heavy cream, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  4. Combine: Return chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the breasts. Let simmer until the chicken is thoroughly heated through.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot. Delight in every creamy, dreamy bite!

Notes

For an extra touch of flavor, try adding a splash of white wine to the sauce when adding the chicken broth.
This dish pairs beautifully with garlic mashed potatoes or a simple arugula salad.
