Teriyaki Chicken Quesadilla

A fusion dish combining Japanese teriyaki chicken with Mexican quesadillas for a delicious and easy meal.

For the Crust:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Marinate chicken slices in teriyaki sauce for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and cook chicken until fully done, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Place a tortilla in a clean pan over medium heat. Sprinkle half with mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
  4. Add cooked chicken, bell peppers, and green onions on top of the cheese.
  5. Fold the tortilla in half and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese melts.
  6. Repeat with remaining tortillas and ingredients. Slice into wedges and serve warm.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
