For the Crust:
- 1 cup white rice
- 4 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a medium saucepan, combine the rice, milk, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low and simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture thickens.
- Stir in raisins (if using) and let the pudding cool slightly before serving warm or chilled.
