Patriotic Red, White and Blue Pastries

Festive and colorful pastries perfect for patriotic celebrations with layers of red, white, and blue flavors.

For the Crust:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/2 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/2 cup blueberry jam
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut into 12 equal squares.
  2. Spread strawberry jam on half of the squares and blueberry jam on the other half. Leave a small border around the edges.
  3. Top each jam-covered square with a plain square, pressing the edges to seal. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  5. Once cooled, top each pastry with a dollop of whipped cream and dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
