A moist and flavorful cake with orange and vanilla flavors, reminiscent of a classic creamsicle.

- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 (3 oz) package orange gelatin
- 1 cup orange soda
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the frosting: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons orange juice, 1 teaspoon orange zest
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, orange gelatin, orange soda, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until well blended.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely. For the frosting, whisk together powdered sugar, orange juice, and orange zest until smooth.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled cake and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
This cake can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For a stronger orange flavor, add more zest.
