Delicious individual-sized apple pies with a flaky crust and warm cinnamon-spiced filling.

For the Crust:
- 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp coarse sugar (for topping)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
- In a bowl, mix diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
- Roll out pie crusts and cut into circles to fit muffin tin cups.
- Press crust circles into muffin tin, fill with apple mixture, and top with butter cubes.
- Cut smaller crust circles or lattice strips for tops, seal edges, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Cool before serving.
