Mini Apple Pie Recipe

Delicious individual-sized apple pies with a flaky crust and warm cinnamon-spiced filling.

For the Crust:

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp coarse sugar (for topping)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  2. In a bowl, mix diced apples, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  3. Roll out pie crusts and cut into circles to fit muffin tin cups.
  4. Press crust circles into muffin tin, fill with apple mixture, and top with butter cubes.
  5. Cut smaller crust circles or lattice strips for tops, seal edges, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Cool before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
