Description

Delicious homemade meatballs simmered in a creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Form into meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened.
  4. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until sauce thickens and meatballs are cooked through.
  5. Serve hot with pasta or rice.

Notes

For a lighter version, use ground turkey instead of beef. Ensure meatballs are evenly sized for even cooking.
