For the Crust:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until fully combined.
- Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread dough evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is set.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
