A classic holiday side dish featuring green beans baked in a creamy mushroom sauce topped with crispy fried onions.

- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans, drained
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 1/3 cups French-fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish, mix together the green beans, soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven.
- Remove from oven and stir. Sprinkle the top with the French-fried onions.
- Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
For a crispier topping, broil for the last 1-2 minutes. This dish can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
