For the Crust:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 (0.7 oz) packet Italian dressing mix
- 1 (10.5 oz) can condensed golden mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and stir in Italian dressing mix, golden mushroom soup, white wine, cream cheese, mushrooms, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook until smooth and well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
