Cheesy Chicken and Bacon Pasta Bake

A comforting baked pasta dish with tender chicken, crispy bacon, and a rich, cheesy sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente, then drain.
  2. Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth. Cook, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in 1 cup cheddar cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Combine pasta, chicken, bacon, and cheese sauce in a large bowl. Transfer to a greased 9×13 baking dish.
  5. Top with remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheeses. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
