Description

This easy breakfast casserole is a delicious and versatile dish that you can customize to your liking. Here’s a simple recipe to follow:

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 packs of crescent rolls
  • Cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage
  • 1 bag of thawed hash browns
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • Cheese (as much as you like)
  • Optional: onions, peppers (cooked with the sausage), crumbled bacon, or diced ham

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent rolls and press them into the bottom and up the sides of a greased baking dish to form the crust.
  3. Spread the cooked and crumbled breakfast sausage evenly over the crescent roll crust. If you’re using onions and peppers, mix them with the sausage before adding them to the crust.
  4. Distribute the thawed hash browns evenly over the sausage layer.
  5. Drizzle the beaten eggs over the top of the hash browns, ensuring an even distribution.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 20 minutes or until the eggs are set and the crust is golden brown.
  7. Sprinkle your preferred amount of cheese over the top of the casserole and return it to the oven. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. If desired, add crumbled bacon or diced ham along with the sausage or sprinkle on top before adding the cheese for extra flavor.
  9. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
