Description

A festive and easy-to-make strudel wreath featuring fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, baked to perfection for a delicious appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 large tomatoes, sliced
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Arrange the tomato slices, mozzarella slices, and basil leaves in the center of the pastry, leaving a border around the edges.
  4. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to form a wreath shape, sealing the ends.
  5. Brush the top with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before drizzling with balsamic glaze and serving.
