- 4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer the sliced potatoes in the dish, sprinkling each layer with garlic, salt, pepper, Parmesan, and Gruyere.
- Pour the heavy cream over the layers.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden and crispy.
Notes
For extra crispiness, broil the top for the last 2-3 minutes. Ensure potatoes are sliced uniformly for even cooking.
