Description

This creamy pasta dish features tender chicken and herbs in a savory bowtie noodle recipe that’s perfect for weeknights or special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz bowtie pasta
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion and garlic. Sauté until softened, about 3 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, thyme, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes

Adjust cream amount for desired consistency. Serve with a side salad.
