- 1 tsponion powder
- 2small heads of broccoli, finely diced
- 3 tbspunsalted butter
- ⅓ cupall-purpose flour
- 3½ cupsmilk, adjust as needed
- 4 cupsshredded cheddar cheese, extra for garnish (optional)
- 1 tspsalt
- ½ tspgarlic pepper
Instructions
- In alarge pot, bring broth to a boil and add potatoes and carrots. Cook until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
- In a separate pot, steam broccoli until bright green and tender; set aside.
- In a pan, melt butter over medium heat.Whiskin flour until smooth, then gradually add milk until the mixture thickens.
- Combine the milk mixture with the broth, potatoes, and carrots. Add steamed broccoli. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth. Season with salt and garlic pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with bacon and extra cheese if desired.
