Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese, crumbled feta, chopped cranberries, pecans, honey, and black pepper until well combined.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle about 12×16 inches.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border on one long side.
- Starting from the opposite long side, roll the pastry tightly into a log, sealing the end with water if needed.
- Slice the log into 1-inch pinwheels and place them cut side up on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg if desired for a glossy finish.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
These pinwheels can be prepared ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking. For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary to the filling.
